云州市民俗博物馆巡展文物一夜之间被盗，云州市刑警大队队长周正亲自带队成立专案组，全力追踪，周正更是立下军令状，誓要夺回文物，将犯罪分子绳之以法。一番内访外调，众警员查出了盗宝分子彭海、连明和杨合的线索，于是兵分两路，赵利和张扬调查彭海和连明，董欣和冯宽追踪杨合。周正与杜玉亭则坐镇云州。一方面，外调小组历经艰苦，虽然彭海和连明连连死于非命，但却抓获了杨合，另一方面，周正和杜玉亭在云州访查出其他盗宝团伙成员的下落，并利用其中的樊虎将盗窃案主谋陈化成抓捕归案，一番斗智斗勇，陈化成将真正的幕后黑手张明志供认出来。而张明志最终难逃法网，被盗文物也悉数被一一追回。而周正更是通过蛛丝马迹，将博物馆最大的隐患肖雅天的真实面目揭露开来。。Based in 1934 in Duluth, Minn., during the Great Depression, “Girl From the North Country” centers on a group of wayward travelers as their lives intersect in a guesthouse.
