在高度机械化的未来，先驱者集团的高级技术员米尔斯发现，自己研发的军用战斗机器人出现多起自我编程现象。与此同时，一支精英陆战小队被分派到先驱者集团的机器人训练基地进行实弹演练。米尔斯跟随小队来到这个孤岛，发现通讯被阻断。由普科斯率领的小队在和小波机器人作战后，夜晚一名哨兵被机器人杀死，一场单纯的训练变成殊死战役。这座小岛正是机器人的训练场地，而米尔斯也发现，发出这次实弹演练指令的正是岛上的一个机器人。。Vian McLean is an ex fighter who is filled with resentment.
