Director David Cronenberg faces his own mortality in this surreal short film. The creator of "The Fly" and "Dead Ringers" manages to observe himself after death, all curious about the body who peacefully rest in bed and to which he reacts very tenderly.。四十年代初期的大上海，日军侵华。以沉师傅为首的“常福马戏杂技团”正表演“空中飞人”之际，日军突然挥军南下，沉师傅只有解散马戏团，带着大女儿丁梅、二女儿丁兰、三女儿丁菊、大女婿即大徒弟及三个小孤儿徒弟义南、义西、义北南下广东，投靠亲友。。故事讲述两个关系并不好的姐妹，改编自黛西·约翰逊2021年出版的同名小说。
