In the meantime, all members of the intelligence departments receive death threats from an unknown group called "Shadow"....。故事主要描述四个在客家土楼成长的青年，即悲天悯人的报馆编辑张崇治（李铭顺）。满腔热血的中学教师胡旭生（陈汉玮）。善於钻营的药厂老板张敬鸿（谢韶光）。和个性冲动的单帮水客孙世忠（秦伟），他们先後远到南洋谋生创业，甚至投身於争取独立的运动中，在他们颠沛流离的一生，一直围绕著三名深具客家女子气质的菊香（郭淑贤）若颀（郑秀珍）。金燕（陈慧慧）……。中农老孙头最近买了一匹大白马，把它看成宝贝似的。家里仅有一点黄米，他舍不得吃舍不得卖却拿来喂马。老孙头想发家致富，轻信了牲畜经纪人刁六的挑拔，不愿加入农业生产合作社，结果吃了亏。老孙头受了事实的教育，最终在合作社的帮助下，决心入社。。
