抗日战争爆发的前一年，为讨好日本人，国民党高参王子敬找到京城最大的紫檀家具店“旭东”的掌柜陈竹云，要他想办法打造一套皇帝的龙椅，雍正耕织柜的仿品，被陈竹云断然拒绝。 不巧陈竹云的儿子陈汉昌意外被关押，王子敬以此为条件逼“旭东”在3个月内仿造完龙椅和雍正耕织柜。又找来京城第二紫檀家具店“橍铭和”做监工。“橍铭和”掌柜大喜，欲借此事整垮“旭东”。。剧中讲述洛杉矶地铁发生炸弹袭击案时，在车上的蓝领工人Mike Russo只是想确保妻子Allison及10岁女儿Pearl的安全，但在错误证据及社交媒体上被「预先定罪」下，Mike被描述成是此事件的幕后黑手。Mike为了证明自己的清白及找到真凶，故此只好逃离家人、警察、社交媒体，以逃犯身份寻求真相。。When a broken hearted boy loses the treasured wooden nativity set that links him to his dead father, his worried mother persuades a lonely ill-tempered woodcarver to create a replacement, and to allow her son to watch him work on it.
