故事從創造兩個量子人工智能Kuro 和 Shiro開始：柯博士打造出兩名量子Al黑子與白子，是為了讓他們陪伴博士的漸凍人兒子一起成長。在歷經了Q18的五個單元故事之後，黑子白子逐漸學會了人性，並演化出意識與感情。他們也透過連結量子電腦與人腦，幫助漸凍症少年擄獲了愛情與友誼。 但就在這美好的烏托邦來臨時，博士卻認為科技已經失控，決定親手毁滅掉黑子與白子⋯⋯。讲述四兄妹离家各过各的生活突然有一天同时回到家里发生的故事，这是一部为了唤醒现代子女意识到父母的珍贵，关于现时代操心劳累的父母的故事。。White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。
