2018年5月，V-Jump宣布《超龙珠英雄：监狱惑星篇》动画化决定。 改编自万代游戏《超龙珠英雄》监狱惑星篇的推广动画，由东映动画公司制作。动画第一集于7月1日在埼玉县游戏活动先行上映，第二集于7月16日在东京游戏活动先行上映。同时动画亦会陆续在SP动画专用官方网站正式上映。。影片故事取材于南京大屠杀期间日军真实罪证影像。一群生活在南京的百姓躲在南京照相馆中避难，为了尽可能的多活一日，他们被迫帮助日军摄影师冲洗底片，却意外冲印出了能证明日军屠城的罪证照片。他们原本只想在大屠杀中保命活下去，面对日军在南京城内的暴行，他们决定让这些底片留存下去……。Posing as a foppish coward, Diego, a Spanish nobleman, fights injustice in colonial California.
