バンダイのトレーディングカードゲーム「バトルスピリッツ」を元に制作されたテレビアニメシリーズの第７弾。これまでテレビ朝日系列で連続して放送されてきた同シリーズは、放送局をテレビ東京系列へと移行し、前作から約半年間のブランクを経て放送開始となった。全国各地に強大なバトラーたちが存在する群雄割拠の近未来を舞台に、激しいバトルが展開される。キャラクターデザインはシリーズ２作目と３作目を担当した湯本佳典。「メタルファイト ベイブレード」シリーズの長谷川勝己（シリーズ構成）と杉島邦久（監督）が本作でも同じ役割を担う。 近未来の日本。バトルカードゲーム「バトルスピリッツ（通称：バトスピ）」の人気は留まる所を知らず、全国各地の強大なバトラーたちが壮絶な戦いを繰り広げる群雄割拠の“バトスピ戦国時代”へと突入していた。そんな中、名も無きバトラーの烈火幸村は、妹分の黒田...。Ellenor is called to the house of her close friend, Senator Keith Ellison, where she finds the dead body of a man in his bed.
