赵黎明和苏雨二人从小在一个四合院中长大，身为教堂管风琴乐师的苏爷爷发现了赵黎明的音乐天赋时，决定亲自对他进行培养。不久，苏雨跟随父母回到南方，黎明跟着苏爷爷学习音乐，直至苏爷爷病逝。几年后，赵黎明进入音乐学院作曲系学习，与从小学习钢琴并与苏雨家是世交的王一哲成为同学。黎明在王一哲家与回北京读大学的苏雨重逢。黎明爱上了苏雨，但得知王一哲也喜欢苏雨后，便开始躲避她。王一哲的毕业作品抄袭了黎明，黎明却没有辩解，并随学院的演出团去新疆采风，苏雨追到了新疆，两个人终于紧紧拥抱在一起。。The story of a young group of siblings pretty much abandoned by their parents, surviving by their wits - and humor - on a rough Manchester council estate.
